About your donation and campaign finance rules for local government in BC
Union and corporate contributions are expressly prohibited. Only Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents residing in BC can donate to a maximum total of $1402.40 per year to to an individual candidate (Pete Fry) and/or an elector organization (the Green Party of Vancouver) and/or campaign (including combined candidates running for City Council or Park Board). Donations of $100 and over are required to be disclosed and donors names are reported by Elections BC. School Board campaigns are considered separately from the combined City Council and Park Board campaign.
